Our very own, Chuck Paulson, and Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) stalwart and past President will be talking about his experience as a criminal and civil trial lawyer for over fifty-five years. Many don’t know that Chuck was one of two Oregon attorneys who voluntarily represented African Americans back in the fifties and sixties. One of two attorneys statewide!
He has stories to tell about representing minority clients, dealing with jurors’ prejudices, how to use voir dire effectively and more. If you are in the area, we encourage you to attend the Minority Caucus meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16th from 12–1:15 pm at the OTLA location: 319 SW Washington, #607, Portland.
Thank you to OTLA member, Sean Hartfield, who is generously buying lunch for the meeting. Reminder, membership in the Minority Caucus is for all OTLA attorneys, legal staff and student members who self-identify as a minority. RSVP to this meeting with Beth Bernard at [email protected].
