NE Portland Pileup Leaves 4 Injured | Paulson Coletti
Earlier this week, a car accident occurred in Northeast Portland involving three vehicles on the 13900 block of Northeast Glisan Street around 139th Avenue.
Preliminary investigations determined that just prior to 8:00 p.m., Driver 1 lost control of the 2002 Acura TL and collided with a 2008 Toyota Corolla, driven by Driver 2 with Passenger 1 in the vehicle as well. The Corolla then hit a 2005 Nissan Sentra carrying Driver 3 and Passenger 2.
Four of the individuals involved were transported to the hospital after the accident. Driver 2 and Passenger 1 suffered serious injuries and remained in the hospital. Investigators determined that Driver 1 was not impaired at the time of the accident.
There was a fourth vehicle not involved in the accident, but the driver may be able to provide important information on what happened.
There is a possibility that the cause of the accident could have been some kind of driver error or a defective part on the vehicle. When this happens and accidents occur, it can result in serious injuries, such as in this case. It is important for victims to make sure they are protected legally after this kind of situation.
A distracted driver or a tire randomly blowing out could cause a vehicle to lose control and collide with another vehicle. These are serious situations that should be handled with the utmost care.
