John Coletti has received several million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. John received a verdict of $12.1 Million against the manufacturer of a defective lathe involved in the death of a young man. John also received a verdict of $5.475 Million against the manufacturer of a defective pain pump used during arthroscopic shoulder surgeries. This was the first verdict in the United States holding the manufacturers of defective and dangerous pain pumps responsible for injuries caused by their products.

John is listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America. He is ranked in the Top 10 Oregon Lawyers by Oregon Super Lawyers and in the Top 10 of Portland’s Best Lawyers by Portland Monthly magazine.

John was also named Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year 2012 for plaintiff product liability litigation.

 

John is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates; American Association for Justice; Attorney Information Exchange Group; Oregon Trial Lawyers Association; Washington State Association for Justice; and Oregon and Washington State Bar Associations. John is also an adjunct professor of Advanced Trial Advocacy at Lewis and Clark Law School.

John grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in English. John graduated from Willamette University School of Law in 1994 where he served as the associate editor of the Willamette Law Review. John is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington and his practice is limited to representing seriously injured people in cases involving defective and dangerous products, medical malpractice and negligence.

John is married with two children and is an avid runner and triathlete. John has completed several Ironman Triathlons and marathons. John also enjoys fishing.

John is actively involved in the community as a volunteer wish granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
