Following the President of the United States’ proposal to defund the Legal Services Corporation (LCS), Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish wrote an Op-Ed piece for Street Roots supporting the program.

Legal services for the poor

Fish has been a longtime supporter of the Campaign for Equal Justice (CEJ), an organization Paulson Coletti attorney Jane Paulson serves on the board of and that that fights to ensure every Oregonian has access to justice, no matter their financial situation. Over the past quarter-century, CEJ has raised more than $25 million dollars in support of its efforts and continues to work with bar organizations and lawyers to work towards increasing federal and state funding for legal aid.
