Saddle Bag Catches In Wheel, Causes Catastrophic Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after his bag caught in the wheel of his bike, causing him to lose control. The man was on a day-long ride to eastern Oregon.

On Sunday just outside of Warm Springs, four motorcyclists witnessed their friend go down in a catastrophic crash. One of the motorcyclists said he saw the saddle bag slip off his friend’s bike and get caught in the wheel, causing him to lose control and go down at a high speed.

The five motorcyclists were on a day-long trip to eastern Oregon and were traveling east on Oregon 216 when the crash happened. The man is currently in critical condition and being treated for brain swelling.

One of the friends believes that the crash could have been avoided if it weren’t for the poorly designed, after-market saddle bag. “If there was an error,” he said, “it happened months before.”
