VA Medical Malpractice Cases

Posted By Admin || 20-Aug-2014

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is the government agency that assists American veterans and their families with a wide variety of healthcare needs. The VA system has 152 hospitals; 800 community based outpatient clinics; 126 nursing home care units; and other facilities to provide services.

If a medical mistake happens while being served by the VA, the victim may file a claim against the Veterans Administration for medical malpractice.

Making VA Claims

While veterans and their families can file a VA claim on their own, it’s important to understand that bringing a lawsuit against the government is difficult. VA medical malpractice cases are best handled by a law firm with this specific case experience.

Chuck Paulson has a special interest in VA cases as a former US Army paratrooper (82d Airborne). All three of our attorneys have handled cases against the VA.

While we do handle VA malpractice cases in Oregon and Washington, we do not handle service connected disability claims.
